Racks and forks are built on a made to order basis as a client/builder collaboration.  No job is too big or small.  Krauss Bicycles can fabricate a front rack suitable for a six-pack or full grocery loads, racks for panniers, rear racks of all sizes or whatever your heart desires.  Forks can be custom built to retro-fit an older frame, correct a poor geometry or simply for aesthetics.  Rack & fork pricing will depend on design complexity and components.  Should you have any questions or requests, please contact me at curtis@kraussbicycles.com.

Tour Fork Retrofit
Here’s a fork that was designed to retrofit an older Raleigh Mountain Tour Frame.  The curve is a gentle sweep, providing some absorption and giving a new twist on the sharper, shorter curves of the past.  Low rider mounts, double eyelet dropouts, cantilever brake bosses and a fine Pacenti fork crown.

Circle in the Rectangle

Similar to the Love Rack, swapping heart for a circle.  This is slightly wider than most racks so you can fit your six pack on it without overhang, no claims on hangovers.

Untitled#1 Rack
Micro-Asym; Macro-Sym.  Asymmetrical on its own, symmetrical  when on the frame.  This rack was designed to compliment the fork sweep and curve of the frame it was designed for.   Bracket for rear light, small bungee loops.  Bocote wood platform – this wood is an oily hardwood which naturally repels moisture and keeps a lovely smooth and semigloss finish.  A drop of sealer was added to encapulate the outer edge.

Touring Rear Rack
This rear rack is meant to hold your fully loaded panniers, either touring or grocery shopping styles, but not be a nuisance when you aren’t fully loaded.  You see, there are many great racks that can hold large panniers, but the racks themselves are large.  This one will blend harmoniously with the graceful lines of your bicycle.

Half Basket

The Half Basket is designed to easily throw in many objects, and take off.  It is very sturdy and has many locations for bungee hookin’.  The special design element is that it will not interfere with front pannier racks and pannier bags.

Urban Gal Rack
The Urban Gal Rack was a rack that was designed on-the-fly with the intent that it would be large enough and strong enough to hold a full load of groceries.  The rack is quite successful at the task because the footprint is the same as a reuseable bag and the tubing is extraordinarily thick.  This also allowed for the use of a smaller diameter tubing, which gives a lighter look.  The tubing is also perfect for add-ons such as the light mount.
